Parashat NASO – (2013/5773) – The Priestly Blessing

In this week’s parasha, Naso (“lift/add”), God instructs the Kohanim – the priests – to bless theIsraelites (6:24-26).

In its original Hebrew form, the priestly blessing is a stylized poem on three lines, and contains six distinct blessings.

May God bless you, and protect you.
May God’s face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May God’s face be lifted toward you, and bring you peace.
