We hope that the New Year is unfolding for you with blessing in meaningful and inspiring ways. Many of us joined together for an amazing High Holydays experience, sharing davvening space with Dorshei Emet, and then culminating in a magnificent Neilah/Great Shofar/Break-the-Fast program. I am still resonating with the positive and deep energy from those services!
Now that Fall is here, B’nai Or is engaging in developing exciting and creative new programming that we hope will touch many of the spiritual desires you brought up during the Holydays and at our recent Town Hall meeting. This Fall, we are experimenting with offering one Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service per month, and one Saturday night program per month, instead of two Fridays.
Our Saturday night programming is called Neshama Night – it will be a soulful sundown, provide sustenance for the spirit, celebrate havdalah with distinction, and will feature great activities such as music, dance, meditation, learning, and of course, a healthy dessert-y potluck!
Here is the schedule for the rest of the Fall. And please note a couple of special dates coming up in 2016!
