2. Calling all spiritual seekers! Spiritual Direction available with Reb Sherril
Spiritual direction is the art and practice of examining one’s life to discover the presence and movement of the sacred – which may be different for each individual. In spiritual direction, the focus is on spirituality and not on religion. Spiritual direction is not about deepening religious life, although that may happen as a consequence.
I received ordination and certification as a Mashpiah Ruchanit/Spiritual Director in 2012 from the ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal Seminary. Although I draw from Judaism’s rich and creative resources (sacred writings, rituals, poetry, movement) for inspiration, you do not need to be a member of any particular religion – or any religion at all – to participate in spiritual direction. I am available for both individual, couples, and small-group spiritual direction. Please contact me to learn more, to schedule an appointment, or if you would like to know the cost (sliding scale).

3. Learning Lab: “Jewish with Feeling” by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, z”l
Later this month, join B’nai Or’s learning community as we come together to learn from one of Reb Zalman’s most important, most accessible books, Jewish with Feeling. For the best learning experience, we will limit this group to 14 participants, so if you are interested in this 8-week learning experience, please email or message me ASAP. In your message, please let me know the days and eveniings that are best for you, so I can find a time that works for most of us. The books are on order, and as soon as I have received them, I will post the notice for the start of the Learning Lab as well as the cost to participate and location. If you already have the book, great! Start reading, and write down any notes, reflections, and questions that come up for you from the text.
That’s it for now!
Blessings for a sweet and wonderful week!
R’ Sherril
