This year’s Human Rights theme is Sacred Water, Safe Water. Come pray, sing and learn at this special participatory, egalitarian Shabbat service and program co-hosted by B’nai Or Montreal, Canadian Friends of Rabbis for Human Rights, and Mile End Chavurah. Teachings on sacred water from Jewish and Aboriginal traditions, water rituals, water music.

With Reb Sherril Gilbert, Musician-in-residence Fran Avni, and guest speaker Dr. Cathy/Kinewesquao Richardson.

Dr. Cathy Richardson/Kinewesquao is a Metis therapist specializing in violence prevention and recovery. She is an educator, researcher, a co-founder of the Centre for Response-Based Practice. She teaches Social Work at the Université de Montréal. Cathy is involved in Aboriginal community projects and was a twice delegate to the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. She is a co-director of the Quebec Network of Spiritual Progressives with her partner Isaac.
