Attending an unveiling is considered to be an important mitzvah, giving honour to those who have passed on, and supporting those who are still grieving. Please consider joining Mark Spires for the unveiling ceremony for his mother Sylvia Schneider Spires – Sara Brauna bat Tsarna Hinda. This will take place next Sunday, August 7, at 2 pm
Location: Baron de Hirsch (Back River Memorial Gardens) Cemetery, corner Rue Berri and Rue Sauvé E. on the north side; Shaare Zion section. For directions see http://barondehirsch.com/brcontact.php

3. HIGH HOLYDAYS NEWS

We are VERY EXCITED that B’nai Or Montreal Community Shul will be leading the downstairs High Holidays services at Dorshei Emet Reconstructionist Synagogue – in full Renewal style! B’nai Or Montreal supporters are invited to attend at a very special price. We will have more information soon!

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED! To prepare for this experience (and there is LOTS to prepare!), we still need volunteers for our High Holydays Planning Committee. This committee will help with planning the services, coordinating the Rosh Hashana potluck lunch, registration, leading parts of the services, and leyning Torah. If you are ready, willing and able to participate in creating a most wonderful and special High Holyday experience, or would like more information about this committee and its possible functions, please contact me by July 22.

Blessings for a great week,
R’ Sherril
